As you know, the funding for the ESFL model program is once again at risk in
the Georgia General Assembly budgeting process. We are asking that every parent
at Boynton Elementary School who wants to see this program continue, write
letters, e-mails, phone, or fax the Governor, Lt. Governor and State House and
Senate committee members. We have compiled a list of the 10 most
influential of these people to contact.
Please click here to download pre-addressed letters in Microsoft Word, Rich
Text, and Text formats. You can simply download, cut, paste, and
customize these form letters into your own e-mail program or print them out to
send via mail or fax.
I suggest that you personalize it with a little bit of information about
yourself and your children (e.g. My name is Jane Smith. I have one child who has
graduated from Boynton Elementary, one in second grade currently, and a three
year-old who I hope will attend in two years.)
We have also compiled a list of all the committee members who will make the
funding decision for next year. The e-mail lists are at the end of this
letter. If you have time to email these individuals, just cut and paste
the appropriate committee, and change the letter to say the appropriate
committee. You may be able to import the email addresses into your
email program and send the emails with the click of one button. If you
send them to multiple email addresses at the same time, they may automatically
be classified as Spam and deleted from the legislators' inbox.
Please send the House letters first as their budgeting process happens first;
then the Senate.
